Before we get into it, let’s talk about the name. Have you ever wondered why Rockerbox is called Rockerbox? And why we call this newsletter the Goldmine? Well, let us explain.
Our co-founder and CEO Ron said it best in a recent LinkedIn Post:
“I’ve never really told the story of why Patrick O'Toole and I chose the name Rockerbox. The story begins back in 1848, during the California Gold Rush. The gold rush miners faced a big challenge: they were digging through enormous amounts of dirt to find gold, but their pans couldn’t keep up. They needed a more efficient way to separate gold from dirt at scale. To solve this problem, the rockerbox was invented. The rockerbox was a machine that enabled gold miners to comb through large amounts of dirt faster than ever to find their gold.
Fast forward to today, and Rockerbox is tackling a similar challenge for our customers. Our customers are struggling to find insights in their constantly growing mountain of marketing data. The tools they once relied on can’t keep up with the volume and complexity. This is where Rockerbox comes in. We help our customers sift through the noise of their marketing data to uncover their most valuable insights – their gold – faster and more efficiently than ever before. And when we do our job correctly, our customers feel like they’ve hit the jackpot – just like a miner striking gold in the California Gold Rush.”

Introducing Our New Head of Professional Services: Will Burghes
We are thrilled to welcome Will Burghes as our new Head of Professional Services at Rockerbox. Will brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career in data-driven decision-making. Over the past decade, he has helped brands across various industries, from apparel and CPG to finance and technology, optimize their marketing strategies.
Will’s expertise spans the entire marketing value chain. Early in the lifecycle of a project, he excels in quantitative consumer research, customer segmentation analysis, and audience persona development. As campaigns launch, Will ensures that the right measurement plans are in place for monitoring in-market performance, along with rigorous creative and concept testing. Once in-market, he leverages his skills in technology selection, statistical analysis, and dashboard development to implement these plans effectively.
